Through OEM is synthesized by Fatty acids oleic acid and hydroxyethylenediamine. As an environment friendly corrosion inhibitor, this product is nontoxic, pungent odorless, harmless to human and surroundings and has excellent thermal stability. Its inhibition mechanism: several polar absorption centers and nonpolar groups with large coverage area are introduced into the molecule, thus it can protect the metal equipment from corrosion by carbon dioxide through covering effect and raising the activation energy of corrosion reaction. It had good corrosion inhibition to hydrochloric acid, hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide. The product can be neutralized to salt and exists stably in acid pickling medium, which will reduce the surface tension of the acid solution, ensuring its wettability.
OOM is soluble in lower alcohols (ethyl alcohol, methyl alcohol and etc.), chlorinated hydrocarbon, methylbenzene, mineral oil and etc. It is hardly soluble in water, but it can be dispersed in water freely. It should be added directly when used as acid pickling inhibitor.
The product can also be used as intermediate of cationic softener and antistatic agent of textile oiling agent.
